I still can’t believe I finally witnessed Super Junior live on stage when they brought their World Tour here last month. They’re almost every K-Pop fans’ first love (me included) and I was reminded why after that one night. Aside from their unmatchable stage presence, the boys are well loved because they always make sure to bring their fans something new every time they come back after a hiatus and this year isn’t any different.  The Colors of Latin America Recently, they released the music video of their newest track, Lo Siento, a first of its kind Korea-Latin America collaboration and it easily became a hit. But what captivated me the most aside from their visuals and power vocals was the striking and successful depiction of the rich and colorful artistic heritage of Latin America, adding a little bit of this and that, but without going overboard. And I thought;…

BE BOLD, the bright and playful palette of Color Trend 2018, is reminiscent of summer when people have the time to celebrate the sunny days with family and friends. When southwest monsoon wind habagat comes, some will argue that BE BOLD is even more fitting. We need the warm, vibrant and cheerful colors to brighten the rainy days. We made this video to lift your spirits. Allow the splashes of color to bring you energy, enthusiasm and an upbeat disposition. Do you want to paint your walls with these colors to surround yourself with happy vibes? Not a problem at all. Just go to a Mix and Match Station in a home depot close to your home and get these colors. You may need more time to allow the paint to dry between coatings but rainy days should not stop you from painting your interior walls. SaveSave

Florals are springing up in interior spaces in 2018, from the chintz fabrics and wallpapers of our lolas to the bold, colorful prints of overblown blooms. Very KUKUR (kukurtinahin in other words). Chintz is making a big comeback. Using the same floral fabric on the walls, window treatments, and furnishings—think English country but updated. Lots of florals and colors that pop, like turquoise, apple green, and shocking pink.   —Kathryn M. Ireland I have no problems with kukur. I’ve loved that since….well, since….ever….forever. Florals are not only back in interior design but in fashion itself. Yes! Florals have this joie de vivre, an ebullient excitement for “sugar and spice and all things nice!” Can you imagine having the color of flowers in your living space? It would make the room welcoming, fun, charming. Actually these kind of colors and decor are so reminiscent of summer when everything is alive and in full…

In the final installment of the Set in Color Series to promote Boysen’s Color Trend 2018, the team brought their final installation to Plaza Independencia, the most historically significant plaza in Cebu, which also fronts Fort San Pedro, the oldest triangular bastion fort in the country. That’s a lot of history in just one place.  This time the BE YOU sets were very minimalist with a bit of an antique inspiration on the fixtures. The color palette was indeed an appropriate reflection of the general mood and vibe at Plaza Independencia – quiet, subdued. It was the perfect backdrop for a lazy Sunday at the park.  Compared to the first three locations, Plaza Independencia wasn’t as busy or bustling. There were some stray tourists coming in and out of Fort San Pedro and most of the people hanging out were oldies. It was pretty slow from the start but thankfully,…

In the third installment of Boysen’s Set in Color Series to promote the latest color palettes of Color Trend 2018, the team brought their furniture and fixtures to the Garden Bloc of Cebu IT Park. Cebu IT Park is the region’s main hub for lifestyle, dining and business process outsourcing BPO where some of the country’s biggest companies’ main headquarters are located employing tens of thousands of people. This time around, we brought a bathtub. Yup. You read it correctly. A shiny red bathtub. The purpose after all was to ‘Be Seen’ right? The BE SEEN palette with it’s bright blues and red was the ultimate showstopper against a backdrop of skyscrapers and the lush greens of the Garden Bloc park. It was a welcome burst of colors in the midst of everyone’s daily office routine. The days start pretty early and the nights run really late over here with…

In the second installment of Boysen’s Set in Color Series to promote the latest color palettes, the team brought out their large scale sets right smack in the middle of the Ayala Center Cebu Terraces and on Mother’s Day no less. What better way to showcase the BE BOLD palette from Boysen Color Trend 2018 than by being right in the center of Cebu’s biggest lifestyle and shopping destination. Plus, with families from all over the city descending upon Ayala Center Cebu to celebrate Mother’s Day, we were expecting droves of mall-goers with their husbands, wives and children in tow plus friends and extended family too. The BE BOLD palette complemented perfectly with the mall’s summer vibe and the happy Mother’s Day mood in the air with refreshing and bright blues, playful pinks and violets and a burst of orange and yellow. We were not wrong! After the initial ‘is…

There are the trips to the beaches, eating, island-hopping, eating, climbing mountains, eating, playing in the outdoors with friends, eating, Flores de Mayo, eating… The bright sun of summer makes the hues more intense. So while you are going about your day, be…

How to launch Boysen’s latest palette trend of paint colors in Cebu? Create large scale sets in full color at some of Cebu’s iconic locations and convergence areas. I mean, why not right? Go hard or go home and all that. And speaking of home, this year’s Color Trend 2018 palettes are definitely perfect for your home, depending on your unique personality. For this project, the team took their set, furniture, paints and everything but the kitchen sink. Wait there was a kitchen sink actually. The first stop? The iconic Magellan’s Cross Grounds. Quick History Fact: The original Magellan’s Cross planted by Portuguese and Spanish explorers in 1521 is encased in the existing wooden cross to protect it and avoid having people chipping away at it for souvenirs. Boysen Color Trend 2018’s BE HERE Palette The paint colors came from Boysen Color Trend 2018’s BE HERE Palette with rich dark…

The quiet appeal of the BE YOU palette for the bedroom is for someone who wants to come home to a place that enfolds and embraces. Everyone needs a place like this, a space where you can relax and breathe, where you can shrug off the cares and the stresses of the day, where you can drop all kinds of masks and just be yourself. It’s a place of rest and rejuvenation. A place of peace and quiet where you can regain your balance. How to Use BE YOU in the Bedroom ‘Amidst our fast-paced lives, our bedrooms are one of our most sacred downtime spaces, yet so often they are overlooked and not conducive to a good night’s kip,’ says Wayfair’s resident style advisor, Nadia McCowan Hill. ‘In 2018, we predict all will want to take back this sacred space to help better rest and recharge.’ (8 bedroom trends…
