If you don’t know who Krafty Kriz is yet, allow me to introduce you! Krafty Kriz is Let It B’s resident crafter. She enjoys embarking on fun and practical DIY projects especially if they have something to do with paint and colors. On the Let It B Youtube channel, she has videos on wall paint ideas, color theory, paint mixing, paint hacks, and, of course, craft projects.

Now, get your tools ready. Pick one (or several!) from this list of just some of Krafty Kriz’s DIY videos. A lot of these make use of Boysen products like Boysen Oil Wood Stain, Hudson Timber Coat, and Boysen Permacoat. If you’ve got leftover cans or containers of these, you already have some of the essential materials to complete these projects.

1. Crate Ottoman

Heading to a fruit and veggies market this weekend? Grab a wooden crate from your suking tindahan while you’re there. You’ll need it if you decide to go for this project that gives you storage and seating all in one. Extra practical and useful! You’ll be doing a bit of upholstery for this crate ottoman DIY as well, so if you haven’t tried that yet, this is your chance.

2. Rope Laundry Basket

No woodwork required for this! You know those short, round, plastic laundry baskets that aren’t exactly pretty to look at but almost every household has? They’re due for an upgrade and this Krafty Kriz tutorial shows you how. Bonus: you get to play around with trying an ombre effect using paint.

3. Corner Shelf

In the words of Krafty Kriz herself, “Corners are underutilized areas which are excellent sources of space for your books, decor, and more.” Maximize all that wasted potential and make use of the vertical space in your home with a corner shelf! This one makes use of oil wood stain but feel free to substitute it with paint so you get a pop of color in your room.

4. Toilet Paper Holder

You don’t need to spend a lot to start crafting. To make this chic boho-style toilet paper holder, you only need around P300! Krafty Kriz shows you how with a scrap piece of wood, a coat hook, and abaca rope. A bit of Boysen Flatwall Enamel completes the look and style of this project.

5. Terra Cotta Pots

Jazz up your plant babies with colorful, personalized pots. If you need a chill afternoon activity, this is the perfect thing. No need to worry about being too meticulous or making mistakes. Simply let your creativity run wild. In fact, there’s not much to it in terms of technical matters too—just sand and paint with Boysen Permacoat.

6. House Number Plant Box

Show off your crafting skills with this DIY house number plant box. And yes, it doubles as a home for greenery of your choosing. Unique, right? Guests coming through your front door are sure to comment on it. Be prepared for a fair bit of woodwork though!

7. Cable Spool Bookcase

For those looking for more of a challenge, this may be the project for you. Have you ever heard of a DIY where a cable spool was turned into a coffee table and bookcase? Well, Krafty Kriz did it! Her love for crafting knows no bounds and it transformed something from the scrap yard into a functional and cute small furniture item. Upcycling for the win!
