I am drinking my favorite barako coffee while writing this post. I do love a good cuppa, don’t you? It’s good to have the smell of coffee wafting around the home. That and the smell of baked bread. Beats having lavender or green tea aroma oil being infused, although I do that too, just not when I am brewing coffee.

Here is the last video tutorial for this coffee corner series, which offers some useful and simple design tips to snazz up that part of your home.

Design Tips for Your Coffee Corner

My grandnephew learned something new, which he likes to say a lot now. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. And that is exactly what these tips are.

1. Play with color

Don’t be afraid to experiment with color. Try retro colors if you want something bright, but not too bright. Let the coffee, and the corner itself, give you a boost. Retro colors tend to be muted, like pastels. Check this post out for inspiration.

The Joyful Energy of Pastels

Look at your coffee gadgets and use those as a starting point for making your paint color palette.

The monochromatic color scheme is the easiest to pull off. But there are other color schemes that you can also use. Read More Paint Color Schemes for You to Choose From.

2. Select items well

Choose the items you will place in your coffee corner based on the design aesthetic of your gadgets. Buying saucers and cups is cheaper than buying a coffee machine. Don’t only look at how the colors match, but also make sure the design style is cohesive.

If your space is small, then it’s better to choose sleek and compact objects.

3. Add a standout piece

Add an object that stands out design-wise. If you’ve got a state-of-the-art coffee machine, that’s it. Don’t add any more borloloy. The same goes for a coffeemaker, Moka pot, coffee press that you are proud of. Actually, we are all spoiled for choice when it comes to things. The secret is in curating your items well.

4. Height is as important as width

When you design your coffee corner, think of how to decorate in a vertical space and not only the horizontal space like table tops. Add shelves or cabinets for design purposes, but most of all, for storage requirements. If this would be too expensive, then make something like this easy, textured artwork and put it up on the wall.

There you go! I told you these are design tips that are simple to follow. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
