How to Color Block a Wall with Boysen Paint
Breathe life into the color blocking ideas you’ve seen. Create this easy DIY painting technique onto your wall with Boysen paint, a roller and a brush, sandpaper, and a roll of masking tape. Throw in some clean rags and old newspapers or tarpaulins for easy cleanup.
Prepare the area where you’ll paint. Protect the floor and furniture from paint splatters and sanding dust; cover them with newspapers or tarpaulins. Better yet, move your furniture or appliances to another room.
Even in simple DIY projects, surface preparation is important. Clean the wall before anything else. Remove dust and dirt using a duster and a clean damp rag. If the paint is still in good condition, which means it’s not peeling or cracking, then you just lightly sand the surface so the topcoat will adhere to it. Wipe off sanding dust with a damp rag and let it dry. You can skip the primer because the surface is not bare. It’s now ready for the topcoat.
