For this post, the Move color palette, one of the four palettes of Boysen Color Trend 2022/23: FLOURISH, takes center stage.

The four color palettes in this latest color trend—BREATHE, MOVE, BLOOM, LIVE—have six colors each, making it a total of 24 new paint colors that are being introduced this year.

The Colors of the Move Palette

The cool colors of blue, gray, and white make up half of the Move palette. The other 50% are the warm colors yellow, purple, and orange. The combination of warm and cool hues gives the visual motion to create a playful, lighthearted vibe. Half stimulation and half respite add up to make an interior space that gives freedom to a spirit that wants to realize a purposeful intention tempered by good-natured effort.

This palette is fitting for spaces that have a social function like dining rooms, kitchens, family rooms, and living rooms.

Imagine if you had an apartment like the one above where the dining area and living room are woven together by the bright colors of Move. This rejuvenating space works because the canvas is a light neutral so the bright colors don’t overwhelm. It also helps that the colors are used lightly, mostly in the home furnishings. The geometric waves of the colorful rug becomes a focal point and brings the vibrant colors together in one piece.

Another example of how to use the Move color palette is the bedroom above. Use the paint High Key as the backdrop  to the colorful pillows and throw. Using bold black and white stripes against bright colors is a highly contrasting aesthetic that still manages to be light and fun.

Discover the Move Palette

Are you planning to repaint your home this year? Consider the Move paint palette if you want to have a fun and breezy vibe at home. Like the interiors shown above, you can always choose to use the light neutral High Key for your walls and bring in the vibrant hues via colorful home accessories.

After a couple of years of hunkering down and staying safe at home or minimizing moving around, now it is time to open up and move out of our comfortable shells. Staying in comfort zones is not conducive to growth. Banish those gray clouds and use colors to your advantage. Colors do lift spirits up.

By the way, if you are in Manila and have time to check out the new paint colors of Boysen, you can always visit the country’s premier building and construction expo Conex. Today is the last day. The exhibit is open from 9 AM to 5 PM and is held at SMX, Pasay City. It is open to the public and admission is free. Head on to the Boysen booth and ask for a brochure.

For those who will not be able to go to the exhibition, the Boysen Color Trend 2022/23 is just a click away. You can download the brochure in this link.
