Stumped on what color to choose for your living space? Look to your closet for some inspiration. We usually gravitate to a particular hue or palette when we purchase clothing or shoes. For me, my cabinet is made up of mostly whites and blacks. I like it to keep it simple and easy to mix and match! So, pop those closet doors open for some much-needed color inspiration. Take a quick inventory of what hues you tend to get the most, and let’s work from there. To get things started, here are some room paint ideas based on your wardrobe.

Keepin’ it Neutral

A relaxed, neutral-hued closet collection never goes out of style. And, it’s super easy to mix and match pieces! This color palette is made up of off-white, cream, and latte-hued essentials. This palette is perfect for warmer climates like the one we have here in the Philippines. It’s airy, light, and breezy. Like how this palette looks good on almost everyone, it looks good in almost every room of your house too! This minimalist color palette matches well with equally cozy home decor made with natural materials like fiber and wood.

Pretty in Pastels

Soft and bright pastels are making a huge comeback! Shades of lilac, tender pinks, and sage greens are all the rage. Inject some fun and energy into your personal style by coordinating your colors from top to bottom. The pastel color palette is super cute and brings in a sense of nostalgia from our youth. Paint your walls with some pretty pastel shades to liven up the space while still keeping it soft and cozy. Add some fun elements in your space like some quirky rugs and eclectic wall art.

Vibrant Vibes

Some of us don’t shy away from intense and vibrant colors. Some of us even embrace it. This vibrant color palette consists of saturated colors like deep corals, punchy greens, and navy blues. These deeper shades of color add a lot of depth and personality not just to your fashion sense, but in your living space as well. If the colors seem too intense on all four walls of your space, just pick one area and paint these onto an accent wall. You can either tone it down with minimalist-hued decor; or, bring it to the next level with a maximalist approach.

Best in Black

I think the color the black should be a staple in everyone’s closet. Need an outfit for an important meeting? Can’t go wrong with a classy, all-black ensemble. Just out for drinks with the girls? A little black dress always works. Yes, this dark color palette can be a little too intimidating for your living space. But, it can totally work. You can go for a modern, polished look or get a little rugged with an industrial aesthetic.

Paint Colors, But Make it Fashion

Go with whatever fashion-inspired color palette you heart desires. Like how we change styles every few years or so, you can also just repaint your walls eventually when the colors don’t reflect you anymore. The possibilities for room paint ideas are endless when it comes to fashion! Don’t forget to tag us on Instagram when you try these out.
