Whether you’re a painting newbie or have accomplished quite a few projects already, we all need help from time to time. After all, painting can get quite technical and it can be difficult trying to figure out which paint products fit your project. Boysen has made this process easier with several ways to get expert recommendations.
1. Get Suggestions with the Boysen App
There are a lot of useful features to explore on the Boysen app. One of the handiest is the Choose Your Paint tool. Its purpose is exactly as previously mentioned—to help you figure out which products to use for your project.
It gives a list of suggestions by first acquiring the specifics of your paint project. It will ask you, for example, the type of surface you’re working on and more. Are you painting on concrete walls, wood, your floors, your roof, etc.? Are you repainting or painting on a bare and new surface?
After you go through the questions and answer from the choices given, you’ll get your recommendations! You can click on each one to learn more about them. Make sure you do read up as different products can have different features. Download the Boysen app via the App Store for iOS users and the Play Store for Android users.
2. Check the Painting Schedule
Each Boysen paint product will have a manufacturer-recommended painting schedule. A painting schedule is essentially a quick guide for the other necessary products that are compatible with your already chosen product and the sequence in which they’re to be applied—in short, it’s a cheat sheet.
So, once you have one chosen paint product, say a topcoat, a quick look at a painting schedule will tell you which other products will go with it (such as primer, putty, etc.) and in what order they should be used. Easy!
Find the painting schedule of Boysen products on the Boysen website or the Boysen app. You’ll be able to find other useful info there as well including technical data sheets, surface preparation procedures, and more.
3. Ask an Expert
Simple problems usually have simple solutions. But, when things get complicated, turn to an expert for help. The Boysen Technical Department can recommend products for your specific needs. They get lots of questions, for example, on waterproofing, skim coat, and putty products.
