It’s 2020 and Boysen has a fresh batch of 24 colors waiting in the wings. They are ready to be unveiled, and we will be doing just that in the first quarter of this year. In the meantime, we would like to reminisce about the moods of the Color Trend 2019 palettes.

I think colors don’t go out of style. But we do associate them with a decade, like burnt orange, earth brown and avocado green for the 70s, or the vibrant psychedelic hues of the 60s.

So if you do have favorite colors that are circa 19- or 20-whatever, I say go for it. It’s your home, and in your home, your taste rules!

Moods of Color Trend 2019 Palettes

Palette ENGAGE

ENGAGE is 100% energy. It’s an invitation to show ourselves and our true colors. It’s about making a stand with no apologies. Yet, it also calls for understanding the other so we can come together and collaborate to achieve a shared mission.

If you want your room to make a statement and have this powerful ambience, then choose the intense colors of ENGAGE.

Palette ENABLE

ENABLE is a combination of light neutrals and bright hues. It gives you the choice of having a restful and calm atmosphere or a dynamic one. Remember, your house, your rules.

You can also choose to have a neutral background but have pops of color in your home accessories. Don’t overdo it though, otherwise, the room would look like bright-colored macaroons on a light-colored plate. Nice for macaroons, but maybe this wouldn’t translate so well for interiors.

Palette ENLIGHTEN

The palette ENLIGHTEN is all about neutrals. The tones are contemporary and warm. Weaving these colors in the different spaces in your home will give it a cohesive feel as one goes from room to room.

This is a personal favorite because of the natural feel it can give to any living space. Especially for those of us who inhabit urban areas and who live busy lives with stressful work, long commutes, daily chores, and social obligations, this palette can make your home a welcoming oasis. Comfortable and cozy – just what your Wise Self ordered.

Palette ENCHANT

For those who love Scandi or the minimalist look, move on. The palette ENCHANT is for lovers of DRAMA. This palette is dark, rich and luxurious, wonderful to play around with if you love maximalism.

The palette AVANT GARDE  of Color Trend 2015 is similar in the sense that the colors are bright and intense. Where it deviates is in the tonality of the colors. The colors of ENCHANT are darker in tone. This palette has a very rich, dark, lush and mysterious feel.

Boysen Color Trends

Boysen offers thousands of colors. By creating these palettes, we make it easier for you to mix and match the colors. Every palette is curated so that any hue you choose matches any other color in the palette. For beginners, it is best to choose either one color to paint your walls with, and use some of the remaining ones for your home accessories. Or you can choose two and use the second color for a small wall so that it becomes an accent wall.

For open spaces, you can also use different hues for color blocking. This technique is not only used for aesthetics but it also has a function. You can demarcate the different “rooms” in one big open space using different colors. For example, if your kitchen and living room are just in one big space, you can paint both with different hues to signify the different functions of each area.

As mentioned, colors don’t go out of style, so do check out the past color trends of Boysen.
