Hi, Lettie.
We are to have the roof of our house painted anew starting next week.
As you do not have a light orange color for your Boysen Roofgard product, can we mix the three available colors of Laguna White, Orient Gold, and Terra Cotta so as to possibly come out with a color shade nearly similar to what we want? Can these three be mixed? Would there be negative effects?
Thank you for your help.

Hi, Boysen User R!
Thanks for the message. I hope my reply isn’t too late and you still get enough time to paint your roof before the rainy season arrives.
So, you want a light orange color for your roof but Boysen Roofgard has no readily available color in the shade. Good news, your plan to mix its existing colors is perfectly okay to do!
Boysen Roofgard has 8 readily available colors to choose from. You can mix these together to create even more shades. More or less, since they’re the same product, mixing the 3 colors you want won’t result in adverse reactions.
Generally, mixing the SAME product together to get more shades is okay to do. What we do not recommend is mixing DIFFERENT products together. All paint products are manufactured differently and each has properties and formulations specific to its intended use.
Even if you’re mixing paints of the same type, such as two paint products that are both for wood, there might still be components of each of those products that are not compatible. Mixing and using them together can result in problems and headaches. And, that’s just one example of paint incompatibility (learn the others here).
I appreciate you asking us about this! You have reason to be wary about mixing paints. With that said, this is your go signal to achieve the light orange you want for your roof! Good luck and I hope you land on the shade you want.
