After a year of preparing Boysen Color Trend 2026/2027, we are very excited to launch it tomorrow at the Interior and Design Manila (IDM), which will be held from March 5 to 7 at the SMX Convention Center Manila.

Because of the volatile situation that the world has been immersed in for a couple of years now, the team had so many global and local social, political, and cultural trends to discuss, the bases for curating the color palettes.

As in previous years since 2015, Boysen will be launching four color palettes. This time though, each color palette contains eight paint colors instead of the usual six. This means that for Color Trend 2026/2027, we will be coming out with 32 new colors.

Currents: The Theme of Color Trend 2026/2027

When the Color Team met early last year to discuss the color palettes for Boysen Color Trend 2026/2027, the shifting geopolitical alliances, global economic policies, natural events, and cutting-edge technological advancements, were intense. However, that intensity has reached a fever pitch in the last days with recent world events.

The four color palettes—FORGE, FACE, YEARN, and TOUCH—are more relevant now than ever. The main thread in all the themes is about fostering real human connections, apropos of today’s events.

FORGE

FORGE is the most intense palette in this latest Color Trend with its deep red, yellow, and blue, and an inky black with smokey grays to complement them.

This palette is strong, one that is for the bold and daring and those who have the spirit of the gentle warrior with a big heart, who live their lives with resiliency and agility.

Breathe in hope, breathe out courage. When faced with a mountain, let’s concentrate on each and every step. “Isa-isa lang, mahina ang kalaban.”

Let’s forge ahead with trust in our hearts that we are going to see better days despite the chaos.

FACE

Detox from social media platforms. Live in the present, in the real world, using our five senses to feel the world around us. Get off for a few hours each day, for a couple of days in a week, or for weeks on end.

The color palette of FACE is a translation of the virtual world with its yellows and browns, blues, purple, and gray.

Drop the mask, live closely aligned to what our hearts beat for, and have the courage to show people who we really are. Also, let’s refrain from judging others when they show their true selves. Instead, let’s celebrate the differences and pursue authentic connections.

YEARN

Homeowners today are moving towards designing homes that have warmth, depth, and that look lived in. Rich brown colors from the past have been on trend for the past year and are the neutral colors of choice.

After more than a decade of cool grays and a minimalist aesthetic, people are craving for more warmth and emotional comfort. This is what the YEARN color palette provides with its nostalgic colors of browns and reds, accented by shades of blue.

TOUCH

The strong energies in the outside world today move some of us to make a home that provides the healing energy of a safe and peaceful sanctuary. The soft colors of the TOUCH palette, which are predominantly gentle browns and pale lavender tints, can be used to bring in that gentle and calm vibe.

Combine familiar textures and patterns in your furnishings to provide that cocooning feeling and that deep sense of belonging.
