Good day, Lettie.

I am writing to you to seek assistance in choosing the best color for my house exteriors. I am thinking of a light color because I used wood grain aluminum for my windows.

Thank you.

From,
Boysen User C

Hi, Boysen User C!

Thank you for your message and for following us at Let it B.

I know this may not be the answer you were hoping for but because different people have different responses to color and have different color preferences, color selection is best done by the homeowner. It’s as much an aesthetic choice as it is a personal one!

I would, however, still like to help you. Here’s what I can do. I’ll recommend products that you can use given the surface you’re painting—so that’s concrete exteriors—and show you the top selling colors for that product. Sound good?

Boysen Permacoat Latex

Boysen Permacoat gives you good bang for your buck and is the go-to paint for both concrete interiors and exteriors. It’s a 100% acrylic paint which makes it outstandingly durable, excellent at hiding imperfections and flaws, and dirt pick-up resistant. It dries to the touch in just an hour, needs only two hours per recoating, and already looks great with two coats of paint.

Titan Superflex Elastomeric Paint

House exteriors painted with Titan Superflex Elastomeric Paint

Titan Superflex Elastomeric Paint is a water-based paint for interior and exterior concrete surfaces. It’s favored as it is self-priming and able to create a flexible coating that provides added water seepage protection. It comes in a range of colors and dries to a matte finish.
