There are three interior styles which Pinterest Predicts™ presents for 2026. Pinterest Predicts™ is an annual report published by Pinterest to show emerging trends in different categories.
For those who want to be abreast of what’s upcoming in interior design, these are the three interior design trends that are expected to rise in the coming year, in comparison to what is already popular now. Read on to see if anything tickles your fancy.
Neo Deco

I wrote an article about Art Deco a few years back. It is a visual style that was introduced in 1925 in Paris during an exposition. It is a strong, bold, flashy, exuberant, and ostentatious style. These are some of the recognizable forms and patterns of this style—sunburst shapes, chevron, zigzag patterns, sweeping curves, repeating lines, and triangular or trapezoidal forms, and nudes.
Gen X and Millennials are bringing back this style after years of minimalism. For Neo Deco, the palette is moody, with emphasis on forms like chevrons, fan arches, and other geometric patterns, jazzed up with brass and chrome for that luxe feel.
FunHaus

The inspiration for this design style is the big top with its bold, high-energy aesthetic. Vintage circus art, striking, eye-catching colors, and distinct patterns like the iconic red and white, or blue and white stripes are the main event. Add a big chunk of whimsy to bring in wonder and fun to a living space.
FunHaus would look great in a kid’s bedroom. However, even adults can join in on the fun so bring this style to other areas of the house if you would like to be surrounded by a bubbly ambience. Hang a swing in the living room. Install a slide from the second to the ground floor. Display your toys or anything that brings back the childlike urge to play.

Afrohemian Decor

Earthy browns, deep yellow, and dark purple are the colors we’ve chosen to showcase this style called Afrohemian, a portmanteau of African and bohemian. The style is eclectic, vintage, using a lot of organic artisanal weaves in furniture and accessories. The objective with all the layering is to achieve a cozy, relaxed, and highly personal home.
This interior design style is very close to the maximalist Pinoy heart. We may have different patterns in our habi but the more-is-more mindset resonates with most of us.
