So Many Colors to Choose From!
You get to choose from thousands of paint colors at Boysen Mix & Match stations. Yes, thousands! Pick colors from the Boysen Color Palette fan deck, the Boysen Colorizer Series G fan deck, the Boysen Medley Fan Deck, and Boysen Color Trend swatches. (Learn more about Boysen fan decks here.)
Want to pick beforehand? Browse these fan decks digitally via the Boysen website or the Boysen App. Because colors can appear differently when viewed through a device, remember to check the swatches in person when you’re already at a mixing station. Ask the staff on duty which Boysen products are available for your chosen color too.
It’s Easy
No need to get intimidated. 3 steps is all it takes to get paint mixed at a Boysen Mix & Match station.
- Step 1: Pick a paint color and product base.
Get to a Mix & Match station. Ask to see the paint colors available or, if you already have a chosen paint color, give the color’s name and code. Pick a product base too. - Step 2: Watch the machine dispense color.
The Mix & Match staff on duty inputs the code of your chosen paint color into a computer so a machine can dispense the right amount of tint needed to achieve it. - Step 3: Watch your paint get shaken up and take it home!
Another machine shakes up the paint so the tints get mixed. This is where you’ll have to wait a bit for it to finish. When it’s done, the paint is handed to you.
It’s Fast
Some get discouraged from getting paint mixed because they assume it takes a long time. We’re here to tell you that it’s not true. Once you’ve chosen a color, it takes as little as 5 minutes to get a container of paint ready for you.
There are a Lot of Locations
There’s probably one near you now! Before you head out the door, check if the nearest home depot or hardware store to you has a Boysen Mix & Match station. Go to Mixandmatchcolors.com/locations.do for a list of locations.
Mix & Match stations can be found in major hardware stores, home depots, and paint centers all over the country.
You Can Choose Your Product
You won’t just be picking a paint color at a Boysen Mix & Match station. You can also pick which base paint product you want. There are four paint products you can choose from. You can either go for Boysen Permacoat Latex, Boysen Healthy Home, Virtuoso Silk Touch, or Titan Superflex Elastomeric Paint.
Get to know which of these products suits your needs best so you already know what you want when you get to the mixing station. Alternatively, you can also ask the staff on duty about them.
Note that not all colors can be mixed as each of these products. Availability will depend on product formulation and stock. Again, you can ask the helpful staff if your chosen color can be mixed as your chosen paint.
