Can I use it for exteriors?
Yes. Boysen Permacoat Latex is formulated for use on both concrete interiors and exteriors. It’s a durable paint product so you don’t have to worry, whatever the weather.
Can I use it for drywall?
Typically, water-based paint systems, such as Boysen Permacoat Latex, can be used for drywall. With that said, it’s still best to check with the manufacturer of your drywall if you’re unsure about what products you can use for it.
Are there other colors besides white?
Yes, a lot more! Boysen Permacoat Latex is known for its white shades like B-701 (which is recommended as a primer but can also be applied as a topcoat), but you can get it in a wide range of readily available colors too. What sheens are available?
Boysen Permacoat Latex is available in 3 sheens: flat, semi-gloss, and gloss.
Is it odorless?
Though Boysen Permacoat Latex is not completely odorless, it is a water-based paint. It will not have that strong chemical smell associated with solvent-based paints.
Is it acrylic?
Boysen Permacoat Latex is 100% acrylic! This makes it outstandingly durable, excellent at hiding imperfections and flaws, and resistant to dirt pick-up.
Can I use paint thinner to thin it?
No, you can’t. Because Boysen Permacoat Latex is a water-based paint, you should use only water if you want to thin it. Thin with not more than 1/2 liter of clean water per 4-liter can.
Can I use it without thinning it with water?
Of course! You can apply it straight out of the can. Boysen Permacoat is formulated to be used as supplied. This means you can use it without having to thin it or mix it with anything else beforehand.
Can I mix my own colors?
Yes! You can mix your own Boysen Permacoat Latex Colors using its tinting colors called Boysen Latex Colors. With these colorants, you can achieve your own light to pastel shades. Just remember to stay within the recommended ratio, and mix no more than 1/4 liter of colorant into every 4 liters of paint.
