Hi there,
Can you please provide suggestions for Boysen topcoats that we can apply to our ceiling? We’ve already painted the primer. We used Boysen Flatwall Enamel.
Thank you.

Hi Boysen User J,
Thanks for the question! Based on what you said, I’m assuming you have wooden ceilings because you chose Boysen Flatwall Enamel as a primer.
With that in mind, for your topcoat, you can use the same product applied for 2 more coats if you want a flat finish for your ceiling. But, if you prefer a gloss finish, you can use Boysen Quick Drying Enamel. Use 2 coats of this as well.
Achieving More Color Options
Ceilings are typically painted white. But who’s to stop you if you were to paint it in another color, right? (We have a blog post dedicated to colorful ceilings!) So, let’s discuss how you can get some color on your ceiling.
Boysen Flatwall Enamel only comes in white, that’s perfect if you want white ceilings. Otherwise, you can tint it using Boysen Oil Tinting Colors to achieve more hues. Just remember that the maximum amount of tinting color you can add is 250 mL for every 4 L container of your topcoat. If you need help, turn to Boysen App’s Mix Your Colors tool.
Boysen Quick Drying Enamel has white in its list of readily available colors. In total, it has 22 colors you can get off the shelves, which include colors like Ivory, Delft Blue, and Dark Green.
You can choose from these or tint a white container of this product using Boysen Oil Tinting Colors as well. Again, just remember to keep within the maximum amount of tinting colors you can mix in, whether or not you use one or several tinting colors.
If you have additional technical questions, the Boysen Technical Service Department is a phone call away at (02) 8363-9738, local 413 to 418.
Wishing you luck! I hope it turns out awesome.
