We made a FORGE collage inspo for you last week for those who like intense colors. This week, we move on to a collage inspo for the FACE color palette under Boysen Trend 2026/2027.

The colors of the palette are a mix of green, purple, blue, gray, yellow, and brown. These colors are taken from the digital space, which most of the people in the world connect to and interact with every day. Some do it for more hours than considered healthy, physically and mentally.
As a side note, those who are considering earth tones (light and dark) for their homes, can look at the earthy olive or khaki brown color of Alter Ego, and the dark, warm, and desaturated olive-green/brown color of Anonymous Author. Light browns are considered the new neutrals. Dark browns are even called the “new black”.
Collage Inspo for the FACE Color Palette
The FACE color palette comes from the digital world most of us visit (almost) every day. Personally, I find it difficult to resist the pervasive presence of technology. I hope you’re doing better.

A collage are random images that you put together to give you a brainstorming tool to see what inspires you—colors, textures, materials, lighting, furniture, and so on—that would help hone the ambience of the space you are envisioning.
The palette could be dreamy, mellow and comfortable, especially when using the brighter colors, as seen in the bedroom (upper left) in the collage. Choosing different colors in the palette could bring a different vibe, like having a moody ambience. See the interior space on the lower left with the dark palette.
There are free apps you can use to make your collage, like Pinterest and Canva. Or you can also do it old school like arranging by hand magazine cutouts, fabric swatches, paint samples, tiles, etc. on a sturdy surface. You can also glue them on the surface once you are satisfied. Use this as your inspiration for decorating a room.
Unplug
The constant connection to the cyberworld and the “invisible” presence of AI in daily life may offer unparalleled access to communication and information. However, we now see the negatives that being constantly online brings. The main message of FACE is to practice digital detox regularly.
This palette’s message: Live an intentional life outside the digital world. Staying plugged in to devices limits your world view because of the algorithms that are frequently personalized to individuals based on behavioral data. Instead, drop the mask and curated digital persona, and go out to connect with other people, with nature, with the physical world around you.
Tip: Phones have a few built-in features that limit screen time—Focus Mode, Digital Wellbeing (Android), Screen Time (iOS), or Data Saver. Maybe activating them would help bring you back to the real world.
Take a Risk
Are you ready to take a risk and go on an adventure right there in your home? The easiest way would be to experiment with paint colors. The color palettes provided by the Boysen Color Trends since 2015 would give you a leg up because all color palettes have been curated by experts. You can, therefore, be sure that a combination of two or more colors from a particular palette would work well in your living space.
Test the paint color samples first if you are not convinced of the colors you’ve chosen. And if you are, test them anyway. Click on this handy guide.
