Trendspotters (Press Loft) see pink—blush not Barbie—as showing an 800% increase year-on-year in search data. Not surprising because what’s not to love about blush pink? It’s a comforting color that makes for comfortable surroundings. It eases the body and the mind, offers solace, and creates feelings of safety, warmth, and peace. We certainly need all that nowadays.

Pale pinks for your walls can be used as neutrals to create a calming atmosphere. But, if you don’t want to make this major commitment, having statement pieces like a pink sofa, rug, or work of art, can also work to give that peaceful vibe.

Pink Home Inspo

In the Pink of Perfection | MyBoysen

Here’s a collage that may inspire you to consider pink as your main color. There are many pale pink home accessories that are in the market today, no longer seen as seasonal items, but as decor to create a romantic atmosphere that people seem to want to create in their homes.

Color Palettes with Pink as Protagonist

We’ve made three color palettes for you. Pick one that appeals to you the most.

Monochromatic Color Palette

You can go monochromatic, using the topmost color palette. This palette creates a balanced visual experience that utilizes various shades, tones, and tints of pink. This provides a clean, harmonious, and cohesive aesthetic. This palette is also great for DIY newbies who stumble over the choice of colors.

Read Monochromatic Color Scheme for tips on how to design using this color scheme.

Warm Color Palette

This color palette has pink, peach, yellow, and white. This combination evokes spring, joy, and sunny moods. Perfect for a space that needs that bright atmosphere like a living room or a foyer. This combo is also great for spaces that don’t get much natural light, like a powder room seen on the lower left of the collage.

You can also use the white Touch of Sun as the neutral base for the walls and other surfaces. Then the pink and yellow colors that you bring in will really stand out.

The Warm and Cool Balance

Do you want a soothing and gentle atmosphere? The living room found at the center of the collage shows how the pale pinks and blues can make a space feel serenc and playful at the same time.

This reminds me of a post I made when we were stuck in our homes during the pandemic.

A Paint Color Palette for a Relaxing Beach Home

The post made in 2020 is all about pinks and blues that channeled a cheerful, carefree enjoyment of life.

A Romantic View of Living

Here’s a bonus. We made a video ages ago that is still as relevant as ever. I don’t know of anyone who doesn’t want to savor daily pleasures and to find happiness in many moments? Do you?

Enjoy!
