Boysen Color Trend’s TOUCH color palette in 2026 reminds me of the ENLIGHTEN color palette in 2019. The paint colors are not the same but, for me, the emotions that are evoked by both palettes are so similar. There is warmth, softness, serenity, calm, and comfort. The soft and gentle colors lean towards earth tones that are easy on the eye because of their muted shades.

ENLIGHTEN and TOUCH Color Palettes

Move the slider left or right so you will see all the colors of each palette.

Aside from TOUCH having eight colors while ENLIGHTEN has six, both have browns. Depending on how you use the colors you choose in a space, the mood of a room can change from being bright to being dark and cocooning. We have some interior photos to show you so you can see for yourself.

I find that the biggest commonality between both palettes is the sense of tactility that the colors bring. I can imagine that the almost palpable textures that the hues evoke would make being in these rooms give you a sensual kind of experience.

ENLIGHTEN Room Sets

The furniture in this dining room is mismatched and full of nicks. The juxtaposition of the furniture and the smooth, beautifully painted wall creates this wonderful contrast that awakens surprising sensations. A similar kind of contrast exists between the smooth white ceiling and the grainy wooden floor.Dining room with the ENLIGHTEN Palette | MyBoysen

Rough and smooth textures, organic shapes that flow, a quirky seat that moves with every breath, all watched over by white ceramic birds…all these are a fun-loving inducement to drop your shoulders and all the practical cares that they carry. It’s time to enter the world of the imagination.

Hovering between light and dark is a room that offers a private place to rest your head. Even the textures of the bedding is an appeal to reach out, touch, and be enfolded in the warmth of their embrace. Like the rest of the house, it is a beautifully simple, yet ingenious space.

The room designs are informal with a lived-in quality that invite close interactions among co-residents or family members. I love all the three rooms because they are warm and encourage a laid-back lifestyle that calls for easygoing and mellow exchanges. It’s a wonderful haven to come home to, and to feel safe and protected.

TOUCH Room Sets

A tad more modern than the style of the room sets for ENLIGHTEN is this bright, spacious living room using the colors of TOUCH. However, the colors of the two palettes trigger similar sensations of softness and warmth. A relaxed, easygoing mood is easy to develop in these surroundings.

Wood is a good material to use with the two color palettes. This material highlights the warmth of the hues. The earth colors of brown and green add to the natural warmth of the wood, fostering a deeper sense of physical comfort. Solihiya, twigs, and rustic ceramics are icing on the cake.

Curves are celebrated on the wall, the furniture, the pouf, and the rug. Rustic and modest, the allure lies in the imperfection and the lack of artifice. The matte surfaces diffuse light instead of bouncing it off, like an invitation for it to stay and share its glow and shadow, making the room feel cozier and more intimate.

Videos for Inspiration

We made videos for both palettes. Watch them and see. Maybe you will understand why I wrote that a palette in Boysen Color Trend 2026 reminds me of a palette from seven years prior.
