Choose a paint sheen that is more reflective like gloss or semi-gloss to highlight that fresh and airy ambience, and make your home look brighter and feel more open. This is the perfect mood to welcome the tropical heat that summer brings, without it being oppressive because of the mostly cool colors in the palette. These paint finishes reflect natural light better and make the paint colors seem more vivid and bright.
Both paint finishes are durable and easy to clean. However, use glossy paint only on surfaces that are perfectly prepared, meaning the surface is flawless. If it has slight surface imperfections, select the semi-gloss finish to make these less noticeable.
A third option is the satin finish. It is not as reflective as gloss or semi-gloss, but it still has a moderate reflectivity that provides a soft glow instead of a high shine.
