Boysen’s one-of-a-kind concept store, The Color Library, is primarily for admiring and browsing through the more than 1,300 paint colors represented by the Colorbooks. Unfortunately, you can’t take those home. However, there are certainly other things in the store that you can! Here’s a list:
Paint Color Samples
Let’s say that on your visit to The Color Library, you stumble upon colors that you absolutely love already. It’s not a problem as you can have all the colors on the shelves mixed in-store as paint. You can get them as 200 mL samples and 1 L paint pots. Convenient, right?
Just so you get an idea, a Boysen 200 mL sample pot of paint can cover approximately 1.25 to 1.50 square meters in one coat. This gives you enough coverage to visualize the paint color in different lighting conditions and how it will well it will interact with the other colors in the space.
Brushes and Rollers
For those who want to start painting as soon as they get home (relate!), you can grab Fuyama brushes and rollers at The Color Library.
Fuyama is Boysen’s own line of rollers and brushes. Japan-made, these premium painting tools are designed to give you excellent results and last you through multiple uses. 1-inch Fumaya brushes and 4-inch and 7-inch Fuyama rollers are available at the concept store.
Paint Swatches
You might not be able to take the Colorbooks home but there are paint swatches available at the store for you to purchase.
Fan decks are paint swatches collated together. Boysen has four of them: Boysen Color Palette (1,320 colors), Boysen Colorizer Series G (135 colors), Boysen Medley (250 colors), and Virtuoso Fan Deck (123 colors). Don’t be shy to ask the attendant on duty which ones they have in stock during your visit.
Brochures
Brochures are useful. They contain a lot of the essential info you would need to know about a Boysen product in order to work on your project. Brochures will typically include the product’s description and features, painting schedule, colors, and more. These are free to take too!
The Color Library will have brochures for the Konstrukt Lunar Series and Fuyama. You can always ask the attendant on duty if they have other ones on hand as well. Find other ways to view (and even download) Boysen brochures here.
