Scrolling through my IG feed makes me happy because I follow some really cool accounts like @dominomag. Note to self: do it more often. Yesterday I saw several photos of home interiors that had such fun wall paint colors that I just had to share these with you. You never know when you get that push to change things around your home, and give yourself some eye candy to lift your spirits. We need happy things and thoughts to blow away some of that fear of Covid-19.
Let’s visualize how we are going to organize our new normal. Hopefully the quarantine has made us realize how to make some changes in our lives so that we are healthier, in body and mind, and in our relationships as well.
Recharge and Face the World

If you were able to pull yourself together (despite maybe a bout of anxiety in the beginning of the quarantine), you may feel recharged right now and ready to face the world.
The quarantine cleared up the air in urban areas so now we know how fresh air smells like. We longed for greenery and some of us who live in heavily built-up areas have taken matters into our own hands and planted something somewhere. It doesn’t really matter if these are kitchen scraps placed in an empty tuna can or egg tray. Keep at it. A UN report says that the only way to feed the world is through small-scale organic farming.
Click on Boysen Color Trend Palette 2016 RECHARGE to check out the palette. If you want the bright colors used in that fun wall design above, then the bright blues and orange of RECHARGE can be something you can use.
But if you want less intense colors, then the TECHNOLOGY palette is for you.
Be Bold and Get Back into Circulation
Some of us may be feeling anxious about going back into the world without a vaccine or a medicine that can treat Covid-19. Not to scare you even more, but that may take a year or two.
Meantime, we can’t hide away from the world. That’s not what life is meant to be.

Life is seldom a straight line from A to B. There are a lot of twists and turns, just like the squiggly edges of the shapes in the photo.
There is also no such thing as 100% safe. What we can do is to take calculated risks, like we always do although we’re not aware of it. Let’s bring the odds in our favor and continue with measures like washing our hands, social distancing, and not touching our face.
I’d like to add—eat healthy food, get eight hours of sleep, catch some sunshine, and exercise. These will help boost our immune systems.
Be bold. Be brave. But be careful.
If you want to get that kind of wall paint design in your home, the perfect palette to use would be the BE BOLD palette.
A Time of Renewal
Such a fun concept to paint curvy shapes on the floor with parts of some shapes climbing up the wall!

Some alternative thinkers say that this is a time of the Great Awakening, a time of renewal. Have you seen that quote that keeps cropping up in FB nowadays?
We will not go back to normal. Normal never was. Our pre-corona existence was not normal other than we normalized greed, inequity, exhaustion, depletion, extraction… We should not long to return, my friends. We are being given the opportunity to stitch a new garment. One that fits all of humanity and nature.
The RENEW palette is perfect for earth lovers! Let’s find an alternative lifestyle and move away from the culture of consumerism which prevailed in the 20th century! Now we are given a chance to be more aware of what we take from Mother Earth. The coronavirus is the hottest topic these days. But let’s not forget that climate change is very real.
Let’s go local and reduce our carbon footprint. Let’s go organic. Artisanal. Green!
Note: These colors are available for Permacoat Latex and Virtuoso paints. The Boysen Technical Team would not approve using these paints for floors because you would need a special paint for a high-traffic area. Acqua Epoxy would be the paint to use for concrete floors and structural steel surfaces. The available colors are limited.
Ay! I guess we’ll just have to put these beauties on the walls then.
Reminisce about the Good Old Days

What a lovely bedroom! The bright and lively colors can help banish anxieties. The colors of the playful lines above the headboard are echoed in the pillows, artworks and even the ceiling fan. The deft and skillful mix of hues make this a place which will help bring you sweet dreams.
That’s what’s great about the color palettes in the Boysen Color Trends. These have been curated by color experts so you can just take all or some colors in the palette, and you can be sure that the mix would work.
A color palette that you could use for this wall design is NOSTALGIA.
The good old days are usually those long-ago-and-far-away memories whose edges have faded with time, and what remains is only the glow of feel-good snapshots in the mind.
But with this pandemic, our nostalgia is for things that happened just a few months ago. Here are some that I feel nostalgic about:
- watching a movie | play | concert with friends
- getting into involved business discussions with colleagues
- flying home to visit my tribe
- praying in church with a few hundred people
- popping into the supermarket to get some household stuff
- getting some comfort food at a restaurant down the street with the neighbors
- face-to-face conversations about the meaning of life
My list goes on and on but I don’t want to bore you, guys. What about you? What things are you nostalgic for? Please share them in the comment section below.
Key Takeaway
The wall paint designs in the IG photos above are so random and fun! If you want to change the look of your home and do not want to commit to big-ticket items like furniture and accessories, try painting your walls with light and bright colors to lift your spirits up.
