There are now more colors for you to choose from. The timing is great since we are in the painting season. Select your colors and pick up those brushes and rollers while the sun is shining. Spruce up your homes before the rains come.

Color Trend 20/20 Palettes

Interior designers are seeing a trend that people are choosing more vibrant, intense hues for their homes. Even Pantone has chosen the rich Classic Blue as its Color of the Year for 2020.

The choice for vivid colors is happening around the world, as well as in the Philippines. Boldness permeates the zeitgeist. Neutral colors have reigned in the past, and even now, because they’re beautiful, easy to combine with other colors, and familiar. On the other hand, Millennials and Gen Zers have no reservations about experimentation and self-expression. They are those that have grown up in a diverse world where change happens at a fast clip.

When we are carried along by the events in our lives, we long for those times and places with happy personal associations just to be able to breathe and feel a sense of calm during a busy day. If all these silently delightful memories had a voice, it would be this lyrical palette.

KINSHIP

This palette of neutrals with a shot of bright yellow and purple feels very familiar but also surprising. Old, tribal colors have been given a contemporary twist. The palette is rooted in the past but can very well fit current interior design styles.

Vision 20/20

Vision 20/20 is an allegory for people’s response to the socio-political and cultural trends that the Boysen Color Team identified and worked with for Boysen Color Trend 2020.

We chose these colors as our interpretation of how we face the churning, chaotic events of our time. These are catalysts that will move all of us to make a choice on how we will live our lives, how we relate to the earth, how we connect to the people around us, and how we become better persons.

This crucial time asks us to cleave through chaos with virtue, starting with those tiny, incremental, even seemingly insignificant steps that we take each day for every choice we make.
