Plus, its attractive glossy finish provides not just additional protection to the surface but also makes it easier to clean.

You can also use Boysen Acrytex Clear Coat to add a glossy shine to faux cement finishes! For example, Kashmir, from the Konstrukt Lunar Series, has it as a topcoat as it lends a polished sheen to the surface. Not only is it silky smooth to the touch, but its sheen also makes it a good accent wall in spaces where you might want to entertain guests such as living rooms.

How to Use Boysen Acrytex Clear Coat

Apply it only on bare substrates and surfaces painted with other Acrytex products. You can use either a brush, roller, or conventional spray gun. The latter is preferred as the others can leave lap marks. But, if you don’t have one, just make sure to wipe off any excess product on your tool and apply thinly.

If you’re finding it difficult to apply, you can opt to thin it with Boysen Acrytex Reducer at a 1:4 ratio of reducer to clear coat if applying with a brush or roller. If you’re using a spray gun, thin at a max ratio of 1:1.

Now, if you were thinking of using it over other products like Boysen Permacoat Latex, you shouldn’t. Remember, Boysen Acrytex products should not be painted on top of other paints, specifically water-based and oil-based coatings, because it will destroy the paint film underneath it.
