3. Big Thanks to Our Olympic Athletes

This is a post to give thanks and congratulations to our athletes who joined Olympics 2020 in Tokyo. The country was over the moon when Hidilyn Diaz got the first-ever Olympic gold medal for the Phillppines in the category weightlifting, women’s 55 kg. There were other medalists too like silver medals for Nesthy Petecio and Carlo Paalam in boxing, a bronze medal for Eumir Marcial also in boxing. But as far as the Pinoys are concerned, we were all proud of the athletes who represented our country.

We are proud of our first concept store, The Color Library, which showcases more than 1,300 paint colors. Visit the store in MOA Square, SM Mall of Asia Complex. Eco-aesthetics have been around for a while with more and more people showing more concern for the environment, even changing habits to take care of the planet. Despite the pandemic taking center stage now, sustainability is still very much at the forefront of people’s minds. Also, there is more awareness against greenwashing, usually done by companies to espouse a real concern for the environment when it’s mostly paying lip service to increase brand value.

For decades, Boysen has made innovations in the production and formulation of paint with the aim to do what’s good for the environment. Follow this link to know more.

6. More Warm Neutrals as an Alternative to White

White paint has always been a darling of homeowners for decades, which has made it possible for Boysen Tulle White to be an all-time favorite of Filipinos. With the #teamputi and Scandinavian design trend, white paint has become the poster child for color in modern living.

But you also have the possibility to go light but not white. Do check out our nude swatches in the IG post above. There’s also more to see in this post for skin tone colors.

7. Eye-catching Yellow and Grey Combo

This yellow and gray color combination is for the bold. This is well-balanced pairing with the coolness of gray enlivened by the citrus of yellow. This combination would look great in industrial style interiors. Check out our Konstrukt Lunar Series for finishes and textures that will give your home that uber-cool industrial vibe.

8. Importance of Lighting

This IG post talks about the importance of lighting. A particular color is made up of the wavelength of light. Therefore, the intensity of colors are affected by the amount of light. The darker the light, the less intense the color. Be aware of the sources of light in the room you want to repaint. Does natural light come in through the windows? How much light? What kind of artificial light do you have in the space? Read about Light Reflectance Value (LRV) for paint colors and find out why it is important.

9. Use Two Colors in a Room

Upgrade your wall and use a coordinating duo of hues rather than a single color.  Do you want to some tips on how to use paint to make your room look bigger? Click on this link, and hone in on painting horizontal or vertical lines (stripes).

10. In a Blue Mood

Blues are one of the most beloved colors in the world. Ages ago, it was also the most expensive color to make in paint because of the scarcity of the natural resource for the blue pigment.  Thank God we are living in this day and age when most paint colors are accessible. Choose blue if you want to have a serene and comforting space. In 2020, Pantone chose Classic Blue as their color of the year. See Boysen’s color matches.
