If you can’t find the paint color you want, don’t give up just yet. There’s always the ever-reliable Boysen Mix & Match station. Don’t let previous assumptions stop you from getting a paint color mixed either. Here are a few that aren’t at all true!
Myth 1: It’s Too Complicated and Confusing
Not at all. It’s actually pretty simple and straightforward. There are basically just 3 steps to getting paint mixed at a Boysen Mix & Match station.
Step 1: Pick a paint color and base.
Approach a Mix & Match station and ask to see the paint colors you can choose from. Alternatively, you may already have a chosen paint color ready. (Here’s how you can browse paint colors online.)
Pick a product base too. You can either go for Boysen Permacoat Latex, Boysen Healthy Home, Virtuoso Silk Touch, or Titan Superflex Elastomeric Paint. Each one has its merits so choose what fits your project best.
Step 2: Wait for it to be mixed.
The Mix & Match staff on duty inputs the code of your chosen paint color into a computer so a machine can dispense the right amount of tint needed to achieve it.
Step 3: Get the color you want.
Another machine shakes up the paint so the tints get mixed. This is where you’ll have to wait a bit for it to finish. After that, you get to take home your chosen paint color!
Myth 2: It Takes So Long
Here’s the truth and you can time it yourself! At Boysen Mix & Match stations, one container of paint takes as little as 5 minutes to mix. If you’re having more than one paint container mixed, this process is repeated until you have enough of the paint color that you need. Easy.
Myth 3: Mixing Stations are Hard to Find
There are lots! Check if the nearest home depot to you has a Boysen Mix & Match station before you head out the door. Just head on over to Mixandmatchcolors.com/locations.do for a list of locations.
Mix & Match stations can be found in major hardware stores, home depots, and paint centers all over the country.
Myth 4: There are Too Few Colors
You get to choose from more than a thousand paint colors at Boysen Mix & match stations.
You’ll be picking from the Boysen Color Palette fan deck, the Boysen Colorizer Series G fan deck, the Boysen Medley Fan Deck, and Boysen Color Trend swatches. (Learn more about Boysen fan decks here.) All these together give you more than a thousand swatches!
If you want to browse the colors beforehand, the Boysen App comes in handy. It has digital swatches of available Boysen paint colors including the ones you can have mixed. Just remember to check the swatches in person when you’re at a mixing station.
You can also get your hands on your own Boysen fan decks. These can be purchased via the Boysen website. Head to Boysen.com.ph and add to cart.
