The latest Boysen Color Trend 2024-2025 ASCENSION has four color palettes—Awakening, Alchemy, Abundance, and Artistry. We made animated stories for each palette that show the colors, but more importantly, that tell the sentiment behind the color palette. What is the ethos of each palette? This animated story is for Artistry.

The old and young characters meet each other at a certain point in the future, where they have an exchange about art, humanity, and the impact of AI and machines on our world. Are we looking at a dystopian future? Maybe. Maybe not.
Majority of the artists (and other creatives) today believe that the way AI works by scraping the internet for ideas is unethical. I look at it as similar to people ripping ideas off from other people, without giving credit to the original artists. I feel for those who make their work public, only to find out that others (like so-called influencers) profit from the inspired work they made with great effort and much time.
The Story of Artistry
A glitch brought two men together, not knowing that they’re one and the same. This time though it’s the younger one who brings comfort to the old one.
There’s this exercise in life coaching or management workshops that asks you to give important advice about life to your younger self. There is usually wisdom in hindsight. But in the video, it’s the other way around, although the younger one does not offer advice but rather learns a lesson from the older artist.
Albert Einstein said, “Creativity is seeing what others see and thinking what no one else ever thought.” That’s a tough act to follow, with today’s technological advances like internet and AI.
Perhaps what could be more comforting is this quote from him when they tested his theory of relativity,
I am enough of the artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.
Can machines capture human imagination? I know they can make a synthesis of human ideas and thoughts that are floating out there in the world wide web. However, I do believe that imagination is still in the realm of the human soul.
Artistry Color Palette
Welcome play, fun, and laughter with the light colors of Artistry, which calls forth the childlike curiosity and wonder that we all were born with, but maybe have lost because of the serious business of living.
Imagine coming home to these colors on your walls. It’s an invitation to leave outside the sweat and stress of the day. It’s family time, and the people you love deserve every bit of your attention, just as much as you deserve theirs. Create a home where each member feels safe to show the child within. It is the pathway to our creative power that makes it possible for us to bring out our gifts that could benefit the tribe, if not the world.
