If you are someone who loves to walk in nature, climb mountains, traipse in forests, or love to putter around in your garden or terrace, chances are you also would like Nature’s colors in your home. Green and brown would be obvious color choices for nature lovers, and such a Boysen palette does exist for those people who would like to have organic colors around them.

We call it Naturist.

Even the paint names – Brunswick Forest, Granny Orchard, Rich Peat, Turkish Marble, Raw Silk, and Thimbleberry – roll around the tongue, bringing associations of rich earth, verdant surroundings as far as the eye can see, and lush life.

Our cities in the Philippines are so built up that it is difficult to find an expanse of greenery where we live. Parks do not seem to be a priority in our urban spaces. So what most of us do is to go malling, which as all of us know, does not appease our thirst for Nature either.

But you can have a reminder of nature in your home by painting your space with the Naturist palette, and by using organic materials like wood or stone. If you have a garden, that’s a great way to extend your living space. But if you live in a condo, you can add some indoor plants and you can enjoy the living things around you. Greenery at home really does soften the look of your interiors, and make it more welcoming.
