Tired of how your space looks? You don’t need a big budget to update a room. Even simple tweaks can make a noticeable difference. You just have to get a little creative with it! Try these out before you start making drastic changes.
1. Change the Soft Furnishing
Before you look into replacing your furniture, consider changing your soft furnishing first. It’s definitely an easier and cheaper option. Soft furnishing will include your throw pillow covers, bed sheets, and curtains. In the kitchen and bathroom, it will be your bath and dish towels, tablecloths and runners, and shower curtains.
Things get worn out over time too. If this is the case, your soft furnishing may not only be making your home look outdated but also unkempt. Do a little shopping and see what catches your eye.
2. Look at Your Décor Items
Look at what’s displayed around your home. You can replace these as well if you like. But, more often than not, we display things that we have a fondness for or hold sentimental value which makes them difficult to let go.

3. Rearrange the Furniture
Is there another way your furniture can be laid out? Maybe your bed would be better suited near the window. Maybe changing the orientation of your work desk will help you focus better. Imagine the possibilities! You don’t need to spend on anything and your room will feel brand new. You may need a loved one or friend to help you move things around though.
4. Get a Rug
Rugs are a little like magic. The right one can do a lot for a room. A bold color or pattern can draw attention and become the focal point. Choosing a trendy design will help you achieve your goal of updating your space as well. Aside from visual impact, a soft rug can also make a room feel cozier and more inviting especially if it’s placed in the living room or bedroom.
5. Paint Something
You don’t have to go all out yet and paint all the walls in a room. You can paint just one and create an accent wall. Still too large?
