It’s almost summer vacation so those who are into creative pursuits may benefit from the many easy DIY video tutorials we have in our YouTube channel. Here’s the latest from Dave—how to make your own concrete pendant lamp.

There are interior designers who strongly suggest to pick pieces for your home that are not starving for personality…something that is creative, unique and one of a kind. What could be “one-of-a-kinder” than your very own creation.

Take this video tutorial from Dave, for example, which gives step-by-step instructions on how to make a concrete pendant lamp. This is not a complex project at all. The best thing about it is that you can make a concrete pendant lamp that appeals to your very own color sense.

Just gather the materials that Dave mentioned in the video. These are 2 sizes of PET bottles that would be your molds, cement, sand, and water to make the concrete, cans of different paint colors, and common tools.

The downside to this project is that it takes at most 28 days for the concrete lamp shade to dry. You need to exercise patience for all this waiting. Or you could do other DIY projects while waiting, like painting a new color on your walls, maybe something from Boysen’s latest Color Trend.

Another Kind of Lamp

If you’re on the lookout for a table lamp, not a pendant lamp, then check out this upcycling project from Bea.

Upcycling A Can Into A Lamp (VIDEO)

This is another kind of lamp. This time it’s made from a can. Like in other DIY projects, gather your tools and materials first. Bea waves her magic wand (not really) and makes this table lamp using a can and pieces of wood,

Personally, I am not a very handy person and have zero skills using tools. I do know I can paint walls very well so when it comes to DIY crafts, I’d opt for something simple like painting pots.

Painting Terra Cotta Pots

This video is an oldie, but definitely a goodie. This one’s from Kriz. It’s easy and quick and creates a lot of impact on how you can display your plants.

If you love puttering around in your garden, then this one’s for you. You can also read more about this project by clicking on painting terra cotta pots.
