White is an achromatic color that symbolizes purity, cleanliness, openness, simplicity, and balance, which is what this yoga studio wants to exude. Clients would definitely want to be infused with these feelings, particularly those who see yoga not just as a physical practice but more as a spiritual one that unites body, mind and spirit.

The Moodboard

An open space is a welcome sight for yoga practitioners who can choose where to unroll their mats. What would add to the inspired mood are the views of nature outside and light filtering through sheer white curtains.

Many of the asanas are postures that are performed seated, kneeling, or lying down, so a wooden floor is a plus. Opt for engineered hardwood for its superior dimensional stability and moisture resistance. It provides comfort, warmth, and an organic aesthetic that can facilitate grounding to help shift attention away from thoughts to the physical body and its connection with the earth.

Complement the wooden floors with white walls and ceilings. We used Boysen Permacoat Latex Sphere (BCP-0013) in a warm white with a tinge of yellow.

To the right of it is another swatch showing the Korona finish of the Konstrukt Lunar Series to get a faux finish for your walls. It adds texture and character to the space.

Here is a beautiful product for your interior wood surfaces like ceiling beams and cabinets—Boysen Oil Wood Stain. It comes in several shades but for this space, we’ve chosen Walnut. You can deepen the shade by using a full tone instead of a half tone.

The walnut shade is a favorite among interior designers today. It offers a softer transition from the popular light wood to a deeper color that allows the natural wood grain to show through clearly.

Visit any of the Boysen Mix and Match Color Stations to get the products mentioned here. You can also go to The Color Library at the Mall of Asia to see hundreds of paint color swatches, as well as the Konstrukt decorative cement finishes.

If the space is this gorgeous, who wouldn’t want to sign up for a yoga class, and maybe even be persuaded to get a subscription? It’s functional and so beautiful, exuding a calm that would help any yogi, master or amateur, reach that state of body-mind-spirit unity.
