Here is a second moodboard video for a commercial space. For this, we made a moodboard for a beauty clinic where white is the primary paint color to create a clean, relaxing, and welcoming vibe. Contrasting finishes of hard and soft materials balance structure and tactility in the space.

The Moodboard

Inspire confidence immediately when the client enters your beauty clinic by designing a pristine and beautiful reception area. Make a credible statement about your expertise with just one look. This can be done in many ways—your color story, the lighting you choose, the layout of the space, the materials used, the scent, and the quiet except maybe for soft background music. The objective is to provide a safe and relaxing atmosphere where clients can ask about the treatments you are offering and transparent pricing, as well as the credentials of your licensed aestheticians.

Color Story

We chose a palette of white paint colors. Pale Narcissus (BCP-0957) has a hint of yellow, and Wink PInk (BCP-0054) and Pink Duet (BCP-0075), as the names suggest, have a touch of pink. These soft and warm colors provide a feminine, gentle glow to the space. Boysen Permacoat Latex, the company’s premier product which is a 100% acrylic water-based paint, are used for all colors.

Tip: Use a semi-gloss sheen. Although this does not reflect as much light as the gloss finish, it provides a bright, clean, and energetic feel to the space.

Repeat the colors in the sofa, pillows, and rug. To create depth, add a muted, desaturated, and deeper dusky pink in some accessories.

The reception counter, which is the focal point in this area, is clad in stainless steel to give a sleek and modern vibe. This is echoed in the ceiling soffit above. The use of steel supports the professional and hygienic image that the beauty clinic wants to project.

The Beauty Clinic Reveal

Use lighting to tie up all the elements. Consider it the invisible glue that connects your furniture, colors, materials, and other architectural features to create a cohesive story.

For a beauty clinic, use warm light (2700 Kelvin) to produce a soft, golden-amber glow for that cozy, relaxing, and intimate environment. Clients want to feel serene as they pursue beauty, as well as be assured that their privacy is respected.

The White Shop Moodboard

The first moodboard we made for a commercial space is The White Shop, which is a boutique selling women’s apparel, leather goods, and accessories. We also used white as the primary color.
