From drywall products to skimcoats and renders for concrete walls, Konstrukt offers various construction chemicals to improve your home. You should also know about their very own cementitious system that provides positive-side waterproofing. For preventing water seepage and leaks, consider using Konstrukt Sealtite for your home.

It is a two-pack system consisting of a liquid and a powdered component. When combined, it forms a flexible waterproofing film that can be applied on concrete and mortar. Helpful against water penetration, the material also seals hairline cracks and fills crevices.
Konstrukt Sealtite vs Boysen Plexibond: What’s the Difference?
Readers of the blog would probably be familiar with Boysen Plexibond, another cementitious waterproofing system applied on concrete to resist water penetration. How do you know which is better for your home?
In terms of material, Konstrukt Sealtite is its own product. The liquid and powdered components are what you need to form the waterproofing film. Boysen Plexibond, on the other hand, is a liquid acrylic polymer that needs to be mixed with Portland cement before it is applied.
Considering their ending finish, Konstrukt Sealtite produces a rougher finish. For those who want to apply waterproofing on walls and have it painted over, it would then be better to opt for Boysen Plexibond. Those who want to achieve a textured finish using a texture roller should do the same.
For this reason, Konstrukt Sealtite is recommended for surfaces that will be tiled over such as bathrooms. You should always consider waterproofing this area of your home anyway because it is a splash-heavy zone. Konstrukt’s waterproofing system provides good coverage to prevent water penetration.

How to Use Konstrukt Sealtite
Material Preparation
In a clean plastic or aluminum container, mix 12 liters of Part A (Liquid) with 28 kg of Part B (Powder). Using a mechanical mixer, stir until the mixture is free of lumps.
The resulting mixture would have a working time of 1–2 hours. Avoid the addition of water, or anything else, into the mixture.
Application
Before applying the Konstrukt Sealtite mixture on the surface, ensure it is clean and dry. Remove any loose grit and mortar, as well as oil, grease or dirt. Completely scrape of paint if it had been previously painted on.
Begin application by dampening the concrete substrate using a wet rag. While the surface is still damp, apply a thin layer of the mixture using a brush.
Wait for at least 1–2 hours before applying the second coat. The second coat should be applied counter cross-wise to the first coat. Apply at least 2–3 coats.
Wait for seven days before applying any other plastering, mortar topping, or tiling works. If you will be applying tiles, it is also recommended to use Konstrukt Tileworks, another product to ensure good adhesion of your tile finishes.
