Add jewel tones to your home this Christmas to create a luxe feel. Whether or not we may be feeling the pinch, there’s no need to break the bank. This Christmas, let’s embrace cheer instead, and look for the silver lining in every cloud, discern all the blessings in disguise, and see the light at the end of the tunnel. What may help to bring us to a state of happiness and contentment, or even just a mild improvement in an otherwise dour mood, is to get our homes ready for Christmas.
Full disclosure: I don’t decorate my home for the holidays unless a friend gives me a bunch of eucalyptus which I can arrange in a vase. Many moons ago, I was given a small Christmas tree and decor for the dining table which are easy to plonk down, but I have to look for them. Last year, someone gave me small handcrafted parols made out of local materials. Since they’re easy to hang, up they’ll go…or maybe not. But I guess it does not really matter because I did not put away the Christmas lights, the angels, the reindeers, and the crystals. They are on display all year round. Sometimes it helps to be lazy.
Christmas Color Trends 2026
As trends go, you already know what we feel about that if you’ve followed this blog for a while now. We present the trends but it is really your call what you want to do with them. Colors are personal so follow what you like and not trends. Also, most of us have Christmas decorations that we use every holiday season. If you want to tweak the color, you can always change some of the decorative elements like tinsel, balls, or ribbons in your ornaments.
I will not mention the classic holiday hues of red, green, and gold because that is so familiar to most, if not all, of us. Instead, I will show the other colors trending this Christmas 2026.
This year, the trend is rich, warm, and sophisticated. This is achieved with jewel tones.
Christmas Coffee and Cocoa

In keeping with the new neutral of earth tones as well as the new green colors of the year 2027, Christmas baubles the color of coffee and cocoa are popping up in stores around the world. If you already have a green tree and a green wreath, switch the colors of the decor to brown and add metallic hues like gold and bronze to make it feel light and festive. Be modest with the gold accents so as to highlight the biophilic vibe of the Christmas decor. Add textures like stars and balls made of buri, abaca, or paper. white capiz shells, pine cones, and amber if you can afford the real thing. Amber is an organic gemstone that symbolizes warmth, protection, good luck, and vitality, which are good things to wish for.
Christmas Blush

Christmas ornaments in pink gained traction in 2023 but they are still around today. If you want this color, choose pale pink decorations, and not those with the intense Barbie shades. Delicate and feminine, you can even mix blush-colored elements with your cocoa and coffee trimmings. For that luxe feel, add rose gold or gold baubles. Insert some rose quartz crystals. These symbolize unconditional love and emotional healing, which our world needs especially in these times. The luminous and milky textures of this crystal create a high-end aesthetic.
Christmas Cobalt

Jewel tones like the deep blue color of cobalt can remind one of a crisp winter night sky, which is beautiful to behold but too cold to enjoy for a length of time (IMO). Create that sparkly luxury with silver elements to represent winter wonderland. However, I prefer gold for its rich, warm, and luxurious feel. Hang some warm fairy lights to boost the hygge factor. For a luxurious ambience, blue sapphire may be a stunning choice but too expensive so go for lapis lazuli instead. This blue stone is a protective talisman and symbolizes intellectual clarity and wisdom, which the human race can largely benefit from.
Wall Paint Colors
The three Christmas colors—brown, blush, and cobalt—would look good with light neutral colors like white, cream, and beige.
The Boysen product Virtuoso Silk Touch has an easy clean surface protector technology that makes the paint stain resistant. It adds to the luxe feel because it has a matte sheen that looks soft and velvety, a perfect backdrop for your luxurious Christmas decors.
Painting may be the most cost effective way to create an impactful change in a home renovation. But if there is no budget for it, just clean your walls using microfiber rags and a solution which is a mixture of 2 cups of warm water with 1 teaspoon of dish soap in a spray bottle. Have a bucket with clean water ready for rinsing. You should actually be cleaning your walls regularly like once or twice a month. If you live in a city like Manila, your walls would thank you for the regular rinse.
