2027 is being green-lit by paint companies with their fresh drops of green paint. It’s like a green wave is being coordinated so next year will flow smoothly for all of us.
I recently wrote about two paint companies, one based in the U.S. and the other in Europe, that launched green as their Color of the Year (COTY) 2027. Read more about it here.
Then, two more companies both headquartered in the U.S. dropped their COTY 2027 and both are also green but with different values, one is saturated and the other muted.

We translated these four new green hues into Boysen colors. If you want to be on trend, you can easily get your paint from any of the Boysen Mix and Match Color Stations throughout the country. Find the one closest to you in this link.

Green-lighting 2027
Why is green dominating COTY 2027?
It seems to be a psychological response to the chaos we see in today’s world. We look to nature to guide us through this maze. We want grounding, comforting, and organic living spaces to give us the calm, renewal, and stability that we crave.
No need to wait for 2027. Prepare for Christmas now and bring the spirit of optimism into your home. If you don’t have enough funds to spare for repainting a whole room, you can choose to have an accent wall in the place that gets the most traffic like your entryway or living room. Make sure though that the paint color you choose can go well with existing wall colors, your flooring, and big furniture. Add some of those Christmas baubles you’ve stored away from previous years. Then bring in some plants, real ones, with lovely, healthy leaves to liven up your nest.
Six green paint colors. Choose one to green-light your way through 2027!
