Here’s a recap of the moods of Color Trend 2018 before we launch Color Trend 2019 which is waiting in the wings.
Although there are certain colors that define a period, like the pastels of the 50s or the psychedelic colors of the 60s, I would argue that color is a personal choice. For me there is no such thing as colors going out of style. There are however trending colors, largely influenced by the social, political and economic landscapes of a certain time period.
The Moods of Color Trend 2018
Since 2015, Boysen has been launching four color palettes per year, usually with six colors per palette. A color palette has a defined mood or personality, which is also true for Color Trend 2018’s BE YOU, BE SEEN, BE HERE and BE YOU.
See the videos below to get a look and feel of each palette’s mood.
BE BOLD
BE BOLD is confident and passionate. This is for individuals who are certain about themselves and their place in the world. Because of this certainty, they can move forward in life with a calm and relaxed manner. Give the same kind of personality to your home with this palette, and surround yourself with these vibrant and easy colors.
BE SEEN
This palette is for the cool and competent. This is for people who stand out in any setting because of their originality and boldness. They don’t try hard; they just are. Get that stylish self-assurance into your home with colors from BE SEEN.
BE HERE
This palette is for lovers of nature and things organic. The colors are deep and lush. Do you want to bring nature into your living space? Then go for this palette. BE HERE will give you that grounded feeling whether you’re in your farm house or in a high-rise condo in a busy metropolis.
BE YOU
Sublime in its simplicity is this palette. The colors in this palette breathe calm and space into any room. BE YOU can give you that expansive feel in your home, and make it a place where you and your guests can just be.
