There are four palettes in Ascension, the theme of Boysen Color Trend 2024-25. There’s Awakening, Alchemy, Artistry, Abundance. Today, we turn our focus to Artistry and the colors in the palette.
What is Artistry
Artistry is one’s creative ability and skill. For example, we admire a pianist’s artistry as they play the piano and their music moves us, or a ballerina’s artistry as we watch her graceful movements on stage.
Creating art will reveal one’s artistry. To make art, however, requires an understanding of the inner self and how it can be expressed through an art form—say painting, music, literature, or even home design.
Artistry for Your Home
Self-expression is arguably one of the core requirements of making art. Without the artist’s own creative views, thoughts, and feelings, the final work runs the risk of being cold and lifeless.
So, allow yourself to explore your individuality. Break free from outside expectations and unhelpful inhibitions. Get playful! The goal is to create a home that feels truly your own. Ask yourself, if you set aside other people’s judgment, what would you want your home to look like?
The Colors of the Artistry Color Palette
Be inspired by the colors of the Artistry palette to awaken your creative spirit and bring back your childlike wonder. As the Color Trend website reads, “Splash the pastel colors in your home and feel your spirits lift. Surround yourself with the bubbly hues of this palette to encourage individuality and to celebrate creativity.”
BCT24-7443S Eureka Moment
Can’t seem to figure out how to turn your house into a home? Take things slow and steady. Trust that you’ll get there. Come to your color epiphany with Eureka Moment, a bold and stylish blue hue. Use this to add a subtle pop to any room in the home. Soon, you’ll find that the ability to create something beautiful was inside you all along.
BCT24-7746S Camp Pink
Take a different approach to paint with Camp Pink. Think outside the box and explore the ways you can use it in a space. Feel free to copy the room above and paint around a window instead of the whole wall. It’s an easy way to add interest with just paint. To enhance and reinforce a playful aesthetic, pair your pink accent color with other fun hues (including the ones in this palette).
BCT24-7444S Daydream
You are allowed to dream big. Envision your goal and tread courageously. If Daydream is what you want for your walls, then go for it. It’s refreshing, and subtly energizing color mimicking crystal clear seas on a calm day. Use it for rooms in the home that will benefit from it such as the living room and your exercise area.
BCT24-7023S Lost in Thought
A good wall paint color complements and enhances others around it. For a hue that doesn’t take attention away from the highlight pieces in a space, try Lost in Thought. It’s a great supportive color that blends in while still being beautiful on its own.
BCT24-7621S Fearless
How does it get better than this creamy yellow color? Neither too bold nor too dull, it sits perfectly in between. For those fearless enough to have this on their walls, there’s sure to be compliments waiting after. Alternatively, you could also paint Fearless on an accent wall to put a spotlight on a favorite corner of your home.
BCT24-7445S Vibe is Alive
The chill vibes are strong with this calming shade of violet. Vibe is Alive is an invitation to take a few minutes to relax and forget about your worries. Loosen up. It will help your imagination wander and flow more freely. Here’s an exercise: which room in your home would this color be most suited?
