We’re all busy. And, let’s face it, if we could avoid it, we would all spend as little time (and money) as possible on home maintenance tasks—including cleaning painted surfaces and repainting. With that, here are low-maintenance Boysen products for your exteriors.

Boysen Acrytex3 Primer Tips from Paint Experts | MyBoysen

Remember the Boysen preso commercial? It was for this product! Boysen Acrytex’s formulation makes it exceptionally hardy and long-lasting. It adheres firmly to the surface it’s painted on making it unlikely that you’ll see it crack, flake, peel, yellow, or discolor. It will be a long while before you see it aging.

When applied, Boysen Acrytex also creates a watertight, non-porous film that can repel water and prevent seepage. This gives your home protection from heavy downpours. Easy to maintain, you can easily wash away dirt and stains from it too.

It comes in white but you can tint it with Acrytex Tinting Colors to get pastel to medium-toned hues. Just make sure you follow the 1:16 max ratio of colorant to paint—that’s 1/4 liter per 4-liter can.

Boysen Acrytex is recommended for use on new concrete or concrete previously painted with Boysen Acrytex. It is not recommended for application over oil-based and water-based coatings.

Boysen Wallguard

Boysen Paint Products to Help Keep Mold and Mildew Away | MyBoysen

Here’s a trick: if you really want to maintain that freshly painted look for your home exteriors, go for a product that’s also used for buildings—like Boysen Wallguard.

Boysen Wallguard is a new breed of 100% acrylic latex paint that’s specifically formulated to keep surfaces beautiful and protected. The result is you get paint that looks good for longer with very little maintenance.

You can expect it to be exceptionally good at resisting signs of aging including fading, cracking, and peeling. Suitable for areas along highways, it’s also highly resistant to dirt, dust, and smog. It’s able to withstand exposure to different types of weather and can fight against mold and mildew too.

Boysen Wallguard comes in a semi-gloss finish in white. To achieve other colors, it can be tinted using Boysen Latex Colors at a maximum of 1/4 liter per 4-liter (1:16 ratio) of colorant to paint.

Boysen Elasti-kote

Paint TechTalk with Lettie: What’s the Difference Between Boysen Elasti-kote and Titan Superflex? | MyBoysen

Premium elastomeric paint? Go for Boysen Elasti-kote. Boysen Elasti-kote is a 100% acrylic elastomeric wall paint. So yes, if hairline cracks and crevices are an issue, you can rest assured with Elasti-kote. Its elongation and tensile strength give it superior crack-bridging ability.

If you live in places like Baguio or Tagaytay, this is a big benefit. When temperature ranges are wider, the concrete walls of a house are subjected to more expansion and contraction. Boysen Elasti-kote will be able to tolerate this without cracking. No need to worry about the weather either. Elasti-kote has good water and UV resistance giving it excellent weatherability.

Take note though. It’s best not to DIY applying Boysen Elasti-kote. It’s preferably applied by a Boysen-accredited painting contractor. All colors should and will be factory-mixed as well.

The paint products above are not as DIY-friendly compared to, say, Permacoat or Quick Drying Enamel. If you’re unsure about anything, don’t hesitate to ask for help.
