Have you ever thought about how powerful and effective the Boysen Permacoat is? What if I tell you it can help you forget and move on? Watch this ⬇

Sadly, you can’t hide the pain and agony of a breakup but you can try and erase him from your life, figuratively and literally. Nah, just kidding. (Unless you really want to.)

Let it B - Boysen Permacoat Can

Boysen Permacoat is a 100% acrylic latex paint that hides flaws and imperfections on walls exceptionally well. It finishes painting jobs in fewer coats, yet lasts longer than other brands allowing you to save a lot on time, effort, worry, and money. Just one coat from our POTD (paint of the day – yes I made that up) and the deal is closed. Plus, since it is water-based, it also helps our environment.

A 4L can of Boysen Permacoat Latex can cover up to 25-30 sqm as a primer and 30-35 sqm as topcoat. It is ideal for concrete, brick, plaster, and drywall.

How to use Boysen Permacoat:

After making sure that the surface is well-prepared, prime it using Boysen Permacoat Latex Flat B-701 and let it dry for an hour. For minor imperfections, putty the surface using Boysen Acrytex Cast B-1711 on exteriors and Boysen Masonry Putty B-7311 on interiors. Once more, wait an hour for complete dryness. Spot prime the just puttied areas for polishing. For the topcoat, you can choose your desired paint finish from the selections of Boysen Permacoat below:

Apply 2 coats of the selected paint and allow an hour between coatings.

  1. Hello! We applied permacoat after using sphero skimcoat on it and noticed that permacoat began cracking. What should we do?

    • Cracking of paint when accompanied by the use of powdered skimcoat is often due to improper application or use of the skimcoat product.

To resolve this, you would have to strip to bare concrete. Once bare, if you would still like to use skimcoat to smoothen the surface, we recommend using Konstrukt Permaplast K-201 High Performance Acrylic Skimcoat instead. This can be used on interior and exterior concrete walls. Click here for the product instructional video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIFdHcrnmE4

After applying skimcoat, please see below the suggested painting system.

Primer: BOYSEN Permacoat Flat Latex B-701
Putty: BOYSEN Masonry Putty B-7311 (interior use) or BOYSEN Acrytex Cast B-1711 (exterior use)
Spot Prime: Apply BOYSEN Permacoat Flat Latex B-701 to areas with putty
2nd & 3rd coat: BOYSEN Permacoat Latex (any sheen and/or color)

  2. I used K701 as primer and final coat. However after drying, the surface is very powdery/chalky. No matter how many times I try to clean (compressed air or cloth) the powdery surface still remains. I don’t want to use semi-gloss or gloss topcoat and prefer if the final finish is how it currently is. What can I do?

    • Hi Del,

This is a reply from our Technical Team, which was also sent to you via email.

      “Hi Del. Just some clarifications:
      1. Did you paint a concrete wall? If not, what did you paint and what is it made out of?
      2. By any chance, did you use skimcoat? If yes, what skimcoat did you use?
      3. What were the step by step procedures done while painting?

It would help if you have a picture of the surface painted and the affected area. Thank you.

      Thank you po.”

      • Bakit po kaya natutuklap yun boysen permacoat? What should i apply first boysen permacoat or skimcoat?

          Hi Oo,

Thank you for your message and for following us at Let it B.

Para sa iyong katanungan, maraming posibleng dahilan sa pagtutuklap ng pintura. Para sa iyong project, clarification lang:
          1. Ano ang iyong pininturahan at gawa ito sa anong materyal (ex: kongkretong pader)?
          2. Nasa loob o labas ito ng bahay?
          3. Ano ang step by step procedures na ginawa?
          4. Ano specifically ang mga produktong ginamit?

Makatutulong rin kung may picture kayo ng pader at ng affected area.

          Salamat po.

  3. Hi;

Can I use Acrytex top coat, If I use a Latex primer?

    • Hi Jungie,

A reply was sent to you by email but just in case you didn’t get it, here it is –

      ————–

Thank you for your comment and for following us at Let it B.

Regarding your inquiry, sadly, you cannot apply BOYSEN Acrytex on BOYSEN Permacoat. BOYSEN Acrytex is a solvent based paint, applying it on top of a water based paint will cause adverse reactions.

If you would like to use BOYSEN Acrytex, you would have to strip to bare concrete and then apply the complete BOYSEN Acrytex system.
