Electric bills are skyrocketing. The kids start to have itchy skin rashes. Your body overheats and drips in sweat. This is the typical uncomfortable scenario every summer, and it is why we all wish we could make our homes cooler without having the air conditioners working overtime, or us having to relocate to places with a temperate climate.

The great news is that Boysen offers the most practical way to keep your home cool. Beat the summer heat with Boysen Cool Shades!

Boysen Cool Shades is a water-based, low-VOC, heat-reflective roof coating. This roof paint makes it possible for you to shield your home from the summer heat as its heat-reflective pigments repel light before it turns into heat.  It is also engineered with an all-acrylic binder that guarantees that the heat-reflecting or cooling effect of the paint is long-lasting.

Painting your roof with Boysen Cool Shades can help you conserve energy and can make your home cooler and more comfortable for your family in the long run.

A 4-Liter Boysen Cool Shades can cover 30-35 sq. m. per coat depending on surface texture and porosity.

How to Use Boysen Cool Shades

Before coating your roof with Boysen Cool Shades, make sure you thoroughly prepare the surface. Click on the image below to know the step-by-step process on how you can get a smooth, clean, and dry surface before painting metal surfaces.

Boysen paint experts recommend that you use Boysen Cool Shades with Boysen Primeguard White B-4301 as a primer for new galvanized iron sheets, aluminum, or stainless steel. A white primer will ensure that you’re getting the optimum cooling effect. After prepping and priming the surface, apply the first coat of Boysen Cool Shades as topcoat using a brush, a roller, or an airless spray. Wait for two hours before you apply the second coat.

Boysen Cool Shades comes in multiple colors; and you could choose from white, gray, blue, brown, and green. Just remember that temperature reduction varies from color to color. White is the best choice among all the different colors as it reflects a greater amount of light and heat compared to darker colors.

    hello!

    may i ask
if boysen cool shades reflective paint can be used with rough shingles roofing or is it only for g.i. or corrugated roofings?

would very much appreciate your early response . thank you!

Yes, you can use Boysen Cool Shades on rough, unglazed roof tiles. First, clean the surface to be painted and remove dirt, dust, grease, oil, and other contaminants. For the painting, you can use Boysen Permacoat Latex B-701 Flat White. Then for the topcoat, you can use two coats of Boysen Cool Shades.

Good luck with your painting project.
