Before 2019 exits, feast your eyes on the four color palettes of Boysen Color Trend 2019.

The names of the four color palettes are ENGAGE, ENABLEENLIGHTEN and ENCHANT. Like any of the palettes created since we started Boysen Color Trend in 2015, these also have definite personalities. Now, we bring them to you in dance form.  Watch the video below.

The Four Color Palettes of Boysen Color Trend 2019

ENGAGE is dominant, bold and collaborative. The dark and bright colors are not for the timid. You’ve got to have chutzpah to paint these colors on your walls. However, if you are not feeling too comfortable about having such colors on your walls but you really want to try it out, just pick one bright color and use it for your accent wall. Use the rest of the colors for your accessories like throw pillows or statement chairs.Boysen Color Trend 2019 ENGAGE palette

ENABLE is a balance between energetic, intense, saturated colors and serene, light, refreshing neutrals. Depending on the mood you want a room to reflect, you can play with the palette. For example, if you want a more relaxing vibe, you can use the light colors for most of the surfaces, and use the darker hues as accents.

ENLIGHTEN is a grounded palette with natural tones. The neutrals are reminiscent of nature so the vibe is organic. In July, we conducted a public survey of the top 3 favorite interiors. The interior image using the ENLIGHTEN palette was the top choice of our readers! Read the survey results here.

Boysen Color Trends

For the last five years, Boysen has brought you four palettes every year. These have been chosen by our Color Team under the guidance of international color experts. The color palettes from Boysen are specially selected for the Philippine market. In other words, we carefully consider the socio-cultural trends in our society and go through a long process before choosing the palettes. Interestingly enough, some colors can also be found in the color palettes chosen by independent paint companies of other countries, who are our co-members in the Nova Paint Club. But there are and will always be differences.

For the longest time, light neutrals have been the favorites to grace the walls of almost all homes in the Philippines. However, in the past few years, there is a shift to bolder color choices. It could be the growing predisposition of today’s woke clients to experiment with colors in their living spaces to express their individuality. Maybe this trend is because of the proliferation of home or DIY magazines, online or print, that make people more open to try out colors. There is also the innovation in paint manufacturing. So now you have paint that is odor-less and therefore not unpleasant to apply, with features like antibacterial for Healthy Home or easy-to-clean for Virtuoso. With these paint innovations, it is easier to pick up the brush yourself and (re)create your personal haven.

Remember the biggest advantage in using paint, that is, you can create a lot of impact in your home at a cost-effective price. It’s not as expensive as making structural changes like putting up a wall, or tiling a surface. Having maximum effect by just coating your walls with paint is really worth the relatively small investment.

Let the dance video inspire you to choose the color personality you want in your home.
